German developed a new type of extrusion die

K-M, a German plastic extrusion machinery company, recently introduced a new extruder die system that allows plastic pipe manufacturers to completely stop online adjustment of pipe diameter and wall thickness.
The die system, called QuickSwitch, uses a tapered mandrel that moves in the axial direction to adjust the die spacing, and is equipped with a special combination of sizing.
