Xitron Launches New Generation DI Printer Driver

Xitron introduced a new version of the driver for Presstek's Presstek Dimension series. Xitron Corporation is an independent designer and integrated supplier of RIP and workflow solutions. PresstekDimension is a CTP platesetter that Presstek designs and produces for a range of Digital Imaging (DI) printing presses.

This new driver can be used as a plug-in for Xitron's Navigator series RIP and RasterBlasterTIFFCatcher series software. It has the function of automatically generating ink key setting parameters, which was not included in the previous DI printer driver. This software uses a file format compatible with the DI press console. The software occupies little space and supports both the 8-key and 12-key system.

SirSpeedyPrinters is a beta test user of Xitron's new software. The company's official said, "After adopting new software, color reproduction is more accurate and RIP's efficiency is greatly improved. Now, it can be on the screen. Soft proofing of the RIP's job, which also makes the print color more accurate."

Now, all of Xitron's RIP and workflow solutions, including NavigatorHarlequinRIP, RasterBlasterTIFFcatcher, Xenith4PDF, and XenithExtreme with Adobe technology, can install this new plug-in.
