The 2009 (6th) World Brand Conference, hosted by the World Brand Laboratory, was held in Beijing. This is the sixth time that they have conducted a comprehensive and scientific assessment of Chinese brands. In this year's list, ICBC topped the list of most valuable brands with a brand value of 125.086 billion yuan. Top 5 in the list included State Grid, CCTV, China Mobile and China Life Insurance. This year, "500 Most Valuable Brands in China," a total of 28 related industries including food and beverage, textile and garment, media, information technology, household appliances, automobiles and energy were selected. Among them, the food and beverage industry is still the most selected industry with a total of 71 brands. The second and third trades are the media and textile and apparel industries, each with 51 brands selected.
