8. The wiper. The role of the wiper is to scrape the unwanted ink in the ink path. The squeegee is usually in direct contact with the squeegee roller. Since the seri- ble roller is a hard roller, the front of the wiper is made of rubber material. Generally, thick rubber is used, as shown in Figure 3.14. The correctness of the position and pressure of the wiper directly affects the quality of the squeegee.

(Figure 3.13)

(1) If the position is too high, the squeegee cannot print ink, see Figure 3.14.

(Figure 3.14)

(2) If the position is too low, the blanket will bend and the ink will remain on the roller, so the appropriate position should be the tangent of the rubber on the roller.
(3) If the pressure is too high, the rubber will bend and the ink will stay on the roller, see Figure 3.15.
(4) If the pressure is too low, the rubber and the roller do not come in contact with each other. In some places, the ink can be scraped off. In some places, it cannot be scraped, as shown in Figure 3.15. Therefore, there is no benefit from too much pressure or too little pressure.

The above points should be considered in the process of use. At present, the position of the wiper is generally fixed, and the pressure and size of the equipment must be adjusted each time it is used. After some equipment is adjusted well, it is not necessary to readjust the ink. It is very convenient to use (this is actually not difficult to do).
