Domestic Screen Printing Ink Market Survey

At present, there are more than 400 large and small ink companies in the country. According to incomplete statistics, the output of ink is nearly 250,000 tons, and the output ranks fourth in the world in the United States, Japan, Germany and Germany. Some industry media believe that in recent years, China's ink industry has shown sustained and steady growth. Not only has its self-sufficiency increased rapidly, but also a considerable number of products are exported to Asian countries and even the North American market each year. The average annual growth rate of China's ink production has gradually increased, the output value of the ink industry has expanded, the product variety has increased rapidly, and the quality has been continuously improved. In the past three years, due to the sustained and steady development of China's national economy and the long-term progress in the publishing and printing industry, the demand for ink in the domestic market has increased substantially, resulting in a large gap in supply and demand in the domestic ink market. This is the year-on-year increase in ink import volume in China in 2002. Almost 28%, the basic reason for the negative growth of exports exceeding 2%.
The main reason for the above phenomenon is that the quality of most of the ink products in China is far from the similar foreign products, and the quality requirements of domestic large and medium-sized printing companies are still difficult to meet. Some small ink manufacturing companies have poor quality of raw materials because of poor quality of raw materials, outdated technology, obsolete equipment, and low levels of process and management. In early 2004, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine carried out supervision and spot checks on the quality of ink products. A total of 94 products from 51 companies in 11 provinces and municipalities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Guangdong, Shaanxi, and Gansu, were sampled.
69 kinds of qualified products, product sampling pass rate of 73.4%. Spot checks failed to focus on stickiness, fineness, and incipient dryness. The most serious problem was that some products had excessive solvent residues. In order to reduce costs, use inferior quality raw materials, and add a large number of solvents that are harmful to the human body, benzene, toluene, and xylene in the solvent residues will cause considerable harm to the human body. The quality of such products directly affects the quality level of China's printing industry and is not conducive to the sound development of the industry.
If ink manufacturers actively develop and produce products that meet the needs of the market for multicolor, high-speed, fast-drying, non-pollution, and low-consumption, and improve the adaptability and product stability of modern printing processes, product categories that meet user needs are developed. Regardless of the current state of development of the industry, we believe that as long as most of the company's development meets the above-mentioned industry development goals, the market prospects for screen printing inks are bright.
