The market competition of domestic corrugated cartons is becoming increasingly fierce, and product prices are the main means of competition. How to seek greater profits in a small profit space, and how carton companies reasonably reduce production costs have become the key. "Spontaneous activities to reduce the production costs of corrugated cartons" have generally been carried out. In fact, as long as we resolve some of the subtleties in the production process, we can effectively reduce the cost of corrugated cartons.

Printing

How to maintain the consistent color and layout of corrugated paper ink printing and reduce the scrap rate is a common concern for cartons. The reasons for the inconsistency of printed colors and “runs” are mainly due to the poor control of the ink viscosity, the unstable state of the ink transfer, the unstable state of paper feeding, and the poor flatness of the paperboard. To maintain consistent color and layout accuracy for corrugated board ink printing, the following must be done:

n Keep ink viscosity stable. The ink viscosity is the main indicator that needs to be controlled in the printing of corrugated cardboard, and it is one of the main factors that affect the printing color condition. Due to the volatilization of the ink solvent in the printing process, its viscosity will increase, in order to maintain the stability of the ink viscosity, ink stabilizer should be added every 0.5 hours to 1 hour, the amount of 1% to 2%;

n Keep the ink transfer amount stable. Because the printing speed is related to the state of ink transfer, it is not necessary to keep the printing speed balanced and stable. Balanced paper should also be maintained, and paper feeds cannot be separated. Only in this way can the ink printing color stability play an important role;

n Keep the feed stable. In addition to the stable operation speed of the printing press, the manual feed point should be fixed. For poorly flat cardboard, it should be handled properly, such as folding along one side (or both sides) of the cardboard transverse pressure line; The paper guide gaps should be the same, which is related to the important part of maintaining the stable operation of the paperboard, and it is also an important method to solve the phenomenon of "running board";

n To keep the printing equipment in good condition. It should be emphasized that the anilox roll printing plate should be kept clean and clean, which is directly related to the printing effect. Because the anilox roller is related to the ink transfer performance, the printing plate is related to the clarity of printed text and patterns.

Die-cutting

With the continuous enrichment of the carton printing process and the continuous improvement of the processing speed, the problems exposed by the die-cutting process are increasing. Reasonable control of waste production in the die-cutting process has become another important link in “reducing the production costs of corrugated cartons”.

Solve inaccurate die-cutting or inaccurate position of die-cut indentation

The position of the die-cut indentation line does not match the position of the printed product. The reasons for this failure are the following:

(1) There are errors in the production process of the die cutter body, and it is not possible to absolutely achieve the ideal die cut indentation position. Die cutting knife production methods are mainly manual plate making and laser plate making. The precision of laser plate making is relatively high, and the design and cutting are completed by computers and machinery, which is suitable for die-cutting of medium and high-grade packaging. The manual plate making method has high requirements on the technical level of the plate makers, and the plate making machine is affected by various factors such as the technical level and experience of the plate makers, and is suitable for short and medium-length packages with low precision requirements. Therefore, to obtain good die-cutting accuracy, we must choose advanced plate-making methods;

(2) The paperboard mouthwash is of different rules. All die-cutting machines themselves produce precision errors. To improve die-cutting indentation accuracy, we must choose a high-precision die-cutting machine. For example, if there is a large error in the size of the paperboard mouthwash, the rearward positioning of the die-cutting machine (also known as secondary positioning) may be too small. This can be solved by adjusting the positioning and increasing the distance after the positioning.

(3) The position of die-cutting indentation and printing is not aligned. The solution is to re-correct the die-cutting plate according to the product requirements. The positive-printing and die-cutting-indentation grid positions can also be adjusted. Positioning rules to correct, so that die-cutting indentation and printing position registration.

(4) The difference between the die-cutting indentation and the printed work environment can cause the cardboard fibers to deform or stretch, and the die-cutting indentation can also be inaccurate. Should ensure that die-cutting indentation to ensure the same work environment (ie, the same temperature, humidity, etc.).

Solve the "dark line" or "fry line" indentation line is not clear

“Dark line” refers to an indentation line that should not be present; “Fry line” refers to a breakage or partial breakage of the cardboard fibers due to the excessive pressure of the die-cut indentation that exceeds the tolerance of the cardboard fiber. The causes of this failure are the following:

n Indentation line and indentation mode selection is not appropriate. The type of indentation line and the height of the indentation line can be selected as follows.

When die-cutting corrugated cardboard:

Groove depth of indentation mold = corrugated paper pressure in real time

Groove width of indentation mold = paper thickness of 2 times corrugated paper + thickness of indentation line

Indent Line Height = Die Cutter Height - Corrugated Press Real-time Paper Thickness

n Improper pressure adjustment of the press. The pressure regulating mechanism of the die-cutting machine should be adjusted to appropriately adjust the pressure of the die-cutting machine;

n The thickness of the adhesive pad paper is not accurate. Because the pad is too low or too high, the adjustment method is to re-pad;

n Poor paper quality or paper moisture content is too low. Paper brittleness increases, and toughness decreases. Fried lines can also occur. This can be solved by increasing the ambient temperature.

Solve the indentation line irregularity

The reason for this failure is:

n The bad width of the indentation mold is not suitable. The groove width of the indentation mold can be re-selected as above;

n The seams on the die cutter plate are too wide. The indentation line twists under the pressure of the die-cut indentation. The solution is to replace the plate and use a qualified die-cut indented plate.

Resolve folding crepe box cracks at cardboard creases

When the folder is folded, for example, the outside of the cardboard indentation line is cracked because the indentation line is too deep or the width of the indentation mold is not enough; if the inside of the cardboard is cracked, it is because the die-cut indentation pressure has broken the ambassador's paper fiber. The solution is to reduce the pressure on the die-cutting machine appropriately, use a slightly lower indentation line, or widen the indentation line according to the thickness of the board.

Solve the problem of die-cutting

The result of die-cutting is mainly related to the plate making process and the ejector strip (or sponge). The causes of the failure are as follows:

n die-cutting point is small, with few points. If the shape of the work is complicated or there are a lot of jobs, and the die-cutting points are small and there are few points, then it is very easy to cause dispersal when die-cutting. The number of connected points should be appropriately increased; in addition, the length direction of printed products should be kept consistent with the paper transport direction when making plates;

n The paper release sponge sticked on the die-cut plate has a low hardness. If the sponge is too soft, the paper cannot be smoothly removed from the die cutter or indentation line, resulting in a loose plate. Should be replaced by a high-quality sponge with good hardness and elasticity.

Warehousing

Carton enterprises in the "reducing the production costs of corrugated boxes," the preservation of finished cartons to achieve a good moisture-proof effect is also very important, in addition to the use of some slurry improvers, additives, but also should pay attention to other factors. How to solve the moisture problem of carton in the storage process:

n The cardboard that has just come down from the production line should be blown and cooled in the direction of the corrugation in time to allow it to cool and shape.

n stacking corrugated cardboard should be stacked on both sides of the positive and negative (10 to 20 on each side is appropriate), the height should be appropriate, the top needs to apply a certain pressure, so that the corrugated board is not deformed;

n The storage warehouse must have a high topography, be well drained all around, and be well ventilated to facilitate air convection;

n When opening or stacking in the open air, be sure to cover with a plastic film and put a sleeper on it. The height from the ground should be greater than 150mm. Cover it well to prevent the rain from soaking.

n Corrugated board is strictly forbidden to sit, lie or apply heavier items to prevent collapse.
