U.S. Combi PET Line - 90-day shelf life flavored milk
In the late 1990s, the long history of Sidel opened a new chapter. The first Sidel Combi PET line for packaging milk and other milk products was born in the United States. This line is dedicated to packaged flavored milk with a shelf life of 90 days in the cold food chain. The customer is Dean Foods. The installation was a great success, which inspired Sidel to conduct more extensive laboratory tests.
Spanish Combi Production Line - UHT Milk and Yogurt
Shortly after 2001, Puleva of Spain purchased a Sidel sterile packaging line for filling UHT milk and yogurt drinks. This marks the beginning of cooperation between the two sides. Subsequently, both sides conducted research and laboratory tests on many new ideas. Two years later, this article was sourced from Zhonghua Packaging. The joint research between the two companies prompted Puleva to purchase the second Sidel Combi line, which produced twice the output of the first packaging line. Moreover, another company in Spain, Leche Pascual, also ordered three Sidel Combi lines with capacities ranging from 14,000 bottles/hour to 24,000 bottles/hour for packaging plastic bottled milk products.
French Combi Production Line - Microfiltered Milk
Sidel’s “absolute hygiene†joint venture with French dairy company Villefranche is also worth mentioning. In 2003, Villefranche chose Sidel's Combi line to package PET bottled microfiltered milk. The ultra-clean machine design and outstanding milk quality enabled the vessel to preserve milk for up to 28 days without chemical treatment. In Sidel's R&D department, new materials, innovative barrier solutions, sleeve labels and multilayer bottles are considered the focus of researchers.
Greek FMm filling machine - ESL milk
Sidel works shoulder to shoulder with its customers, constantly experimenting and exploring all possible ways to innovation. Sidel's main focus is on the filling sector, chasing all market growth opportunities. One of the new results that Sidel has achieved through its efforts is the birth of FMm. The machine debuted at the Drinktec 2005 show and was developed specifically for pasteurized milk and ESL milk (currently, two FMm filling machines have recently been installed in a major customer's plant in Greece).
One of the difficulties that dairy products still need to address in the packaging industry is the packaging of ESL milk. Recently, Sidel has invested considerable effort in this related research field. In this case, the key to the future is sterility. It is expected that in the near future, Sidel will make significant progress in related dry and wet purification technologies.
Algerian Sidel Complete Line - Degreasing Curd Products
"Tradition and modern coexistence" is the motto of Algerian Trèfle. The company is located in Brida, which manufactures and sells Leben, 50 kilometers south of Algiers. Leben is a partially defatted curd product that is slightly sour and rich in texture. Traditionally consumed with couscous, it is Trèfle’s flagship product, with an average of more than 60,000 litres sold per day in 2005. Trèfle's recognition of modernity is reflected in its advanced technology. Leben has been selling in bags for years. But in 2005, after Trèfle used Sidel's complete line of Combi equipment with a speed of 22,000 bottles/hour, the company began packaging its own products in 1 litre PET bottles.
At the same time, in order to overcome the seasonal market recession, Trèfle introduced the Charbet lemonade packaged in transparent PET bottles. Charbet is a mixture of milk and neroli-flavored lemon juice. Traditionally this product is sold in beverage bags. The latest product in its range, called Fresh'up, is a mixture of juice and yoghurt, packaged in 1 litre HDPE bottles and affixed with bright, bright labels on the outside. The beverage has various flavors (mango-orange, orange-pineapple, and berry).
Compared with cardboard packaging, Trèfle prefers plastic bottles because they are "reusable and used for water storage because in Algeria, water has always been a problem."
