Cavicchi Impianti's Flexible Conveyor

Cavicchi Impianti's flexible conveyors can transport a wide range of bulk powders or granular materials to meet a diverse range of feed requirements. The pipeline can be bent up and down to bypass any obstacles, reaching a considerable height without reducing the discharge rate or affecting the product quality. The machine can be fully integrated with existing complex, multi-layered structure machines. The noise level is far below the normal safety and health standards.

Recently, the company produced a set of such automatic feeding systems for a German manufacturer of PP technology products (pipe sections, pipe fittings, etc. used in the pipeline industry).

The 12 injection machines arranged in series are fed by a multi-link flexible conveyor system, including blends of pellets, powders and masterbatches. These materials have previously been blended and then stored in containers for later use. The system capacity is 1200-1500 kg, depending on the part to be injection molded. The main requirement of the German processor is to install an efficient feeding system in a limited space. Thus, a set of 70 mm flexible transfer system (only one set of feed end) was installed on the injection machine. Other processor requirements include: complete pollution-free; safe and reliable equipment and easy to clean; reduce maintenance costs and raw material storage costs. Since the raw material is directly fed into the PA12 hose from the container outlet and then directly into the processing machine, there is no moisture absorption or dispersion of the raw material. In addition, the system does not need to be equipped with filters and cyclones.
