It was not until the 1990s that China's steel drum manufacturing industry truly recognized the exact meaning of the "market." In the decades before this, the steel drum manufacturing industry, especially large and medium-sized enterprises, has been following the traditional production methods of large quantities of single varieties. From the raw materials to the supply and marketing of the country, the country has a considerable degree of dependence. In the 1990s, the traditional production methods produced under this old economic system have obviously not adapted to the needs of national economic development. The specifications and varieties of steel drums proposed by users are constantly changing, and the international standards for steel drums that are in line with international standards are updated again and again. The new steel drum structure with a novel concept is different. This kind of kind of production makes the original production methods of the barrel enterprises incomprehensible.

The generalization of the barrel machinery came into being. Its main significance is to develop a series of new concept steel drum manufacturing machinery, which can adapt to the needs of steel drum production of various specifications. In layman's terms, it is to make the barrel equipment like a punch press, and a new steel drum specification can be produced by replacing the die once.

The domestic XJY44 series barrel joint forming machine shown in Fig. 1 (commonly known as "three-in-one" barrel forming machine) is a typical example of the generalization of barrel machinery. In addition to integrating the traditional three-piece forming machine of the barrel body, corrugation and ring ribs into one, the main feature is that it can adapt to all the 20 to 200 liter barrels listed in the GB325 "Packaging Container Steel Barrel" standard. The need for production has enabled the generalization of the barrel manufacturing machinery. When the production plan is changed, the machine only needs to replace the "forming tool" shown in Figure 1 and make the necessary adjustments. It can be transferred to another size within a few tens of minutes. Due to the interchangeability of the forming tools, the machine can not only produce barrels of any size from 0.4 to 1.5 mm, diameters of 280 to 600 mm, heights of 300 to 1000 mm, but also realize corrugations and ring ribs along the barrel. Arbitrary distribution of the longitudinal direction and various changes in the cross-section of the rib line. It is even possible to make the corrugation and ring ribs as needed in one processing cycle, while making the folded edge of the fully open bucket bottom at one end of the barrel and the coiled tube of the fully open barrel mouth at the other end. When the user only needs to make two ring ribs without corrugation, the corrugated mold can be removed. When the other parts of the barrel do not need to be changed, only the shape of the flange is changed. The machine tool is not necessary to be completely removed. Simply loosen the outer ring of the split flange (the root of the forming tool in Figure 1). Open, from the entire outer edge of the tool, you can change the outer ring of another size. This realizes the generalization of the double hemming and triple beading, heavy and light barrel folding, flat and round curling, closed hemming and open crimping.

The generalization of the "three-in-one" barrel body forming machine is derived from the support of the following background technologies: the adjustability of the pressure and speed parameters of the hydraulic transmission system - in order to achieve the generalization of the barrel body forming process of different material thickness, material and size specifications Interchangeability of machine tooling tools - this is the core factor of the "three-in-one" forming machine that can cover the processing range of all sizes from 20 to 200 liters; the longitudinal and radial complete adjustment of the machine components - this constitutes The machine tool meets the hardware basis for the range of barrel diameter and barrel height. Incidentally, the above three aspects of J technical background are indispensable. For example, if the necessary adjustment of the machine tool pressure is lacking, when the barrel material thickness varies between 0.4 and 1.Smm, the machine tool may be unable to complete the extrusion of the hemming, corrugation and ring ribs due to insufficient pressure, or The barrel material is destroyed due to excessive pressing force, so that the generalization of the barrel processing of different specifications cannot be realized.

The domestic XJY49 adjustable universal crimping machine shown in Figure 2 can be used as another typical example of the generalization of barrel machinery in China.

In order to meet the needs of the production of steel drums of all specifications from 20 to 200 liters in the GB325 standard, the machine tool has set up a series of general adjustments, mainly including:

1. The axial position adjustment of the sealing disc: the steel drum with the barrel height of 300 to 1000 mm can be processed on the machine.

2. Radial position adjustment of the hemming wheel: It can meet the processing needs of barrel diameter of 280 to 600mm.

3. Adjusting the axial and radial dimensions of the feeding device: It can accurately transport the steel drums of various diameters and heights between 20 and 200 liters to the machine tool working center.

4, the feeding speed adjustment of the crimping: when the material thickness is changed within the range of 0.4 to 1. 5mm, or the material is in the hot-rolled plate and the cold-rolled plate, the domestic plate and the imported plate, the ordinary plate and the galvanized plate, the high-quality plate and When the inferior board changes and the productivity requirements change, the machine can adjust the hemming feed rate to suit.

5. Steel drum rotation speed adjustment: A reasonable optimization combination is made between the rotation speed of the steel drum and the material thickness, the barrel diameter and the working speed of the crimping work to improve the quality of the curling.

6. Axial pressure adjustment of the sealing disc: When the material thickness, material, barrel diameter and barrel height of the steel drum change, the axial pressure applied to the steel drum by the sealing disc can be generated, and sufficient friction torque drives the barrel to rotate. Not too much pressure causes the barrel to deform.

7. Crimping feed force adjustment: When the steel drum material thickness, material or crimp tightness requirements change, the machine tool can adjust the final pressing force of the crimping feed as needed.

It is not difficult to see that the XJY49 crimping machine has become an adjustable general-purpose equipment after it has the above-mentioned adjustment link, and basically meets the production requirements of closed and open steel drums of all specifications of 20 to 200 liters listed in GB325 standard.

In order to further expand the general scope, the machine is compatible with the pre-roll function. Two of the six crimping power heads can be used for the top and bottom of the bucket. When the pre-rolling is not performed on the machine, the pre-rolling program can be called up by the machine electrical selection button, and the machine tool is changed to the crimping machine without the pre-rolling process.

Figure 3 shows the domestic XJY28A adjustable steel drum top and bottom stamping production line. This line is suitable for continuous automated stamping production of 20 to 200 litre closed, open steel drum tops. The web is centered on the winder and is rotated to cause the web end to extend into the leveler through the guide frame. The seven-roll leveling machine is continuously operated, and the coil conveyor, the finished conveyor and the waste processing machine are intermittently operated with the stamping and tempo of the press, thus forming a natural between the leveler and the coil conveyor. The curved coils make the two harmonious. The width of the roll and the nipple can be adjusted from 300 to 1000 mm for common production of 20 to 200 liter steel drums. The operation of the leveler is powered by a hydraulic motor, which enables stepless speed regulation, which synchronizes the operation of the press with different types of beats. Hydraulic control also provides effective clutching and braking of the leveler. The coil conveyor adopts a hydraulic cylinder to feed through the multiplying mechanism. The feeding step can be set between 300 and 1900 mm by changing and adjusting the distance stop, making it compatible with the production of 20 to 200 liter steel drums. The step-type running start of the finished conveyor is caused by the press of the top and bottom of the barrel which is stamped by the press, and finally the finished product is quantitatively stacked. The number of stacks per component can be selected by the PC programmer. The waste processor uses a roller feed with an adjustable speed feed roller hydraulic motor that synchronizes with the stamping cycle. The waste disposer finally delivers the waste to the scrap shearer, and the number of finished stampings per cut can also be selected by the PC programmer. These adjustments enable the production line to achieve universal use of the top and bottom stamping of steel drums in the range of 20 to 200 liters.

If the equipment from the press machine in Fig. 3 is cancelled, the sheet shearing machine including the cross shear and the slitting is replaced by a domestic XJY series blanking production line which cuts the coil material into sheets. The sheet width is compatible with versatility in the range of 360 to 1000 mm, while the sheet length can be adjusted between 300 and 1900 mm. This achieves the versatility of the blanking equipment required for both the 20 to 200 liter steel drum top and bottom sheets and the barrel sheets.

By the way, the overall structure of the domestic XJY series steel drum top and bottom stamping die, whether in the stamping production line shown in Figure 3, or when the user is single machine stamping, is designed as a guide column formwork structure. This composite ram with a guide post is more important than a non-column dies for a wide variety of steel drum tops on a universal press. It not only improves the stamping precision of the mold and the service life of the cutting edge, but more importantly, it can greatly shorten the alignment time of the upper and lower sides of the mold when replacing the mold to produce the top and bottom of the steel drum. A mold failure caused by a misalignment of the knife edge.

Domestic XJY series milling machines, rounding machines, pre-rolling machines, leak testing machines, necking machines, etc. also have similar generalization features, which are not listed here due to space limitations. In summary, the main task of the generalization of barrel machinery is to set up necessary adjustment links in the barrel making equipment to make the functional parameters such as working position, working size, working pressure, movement speed and cycle program of the power component change rapidly. , quick change or quick adjustment to adapt to the production of as many steel barrel specifications as possible.

In the development and application of general-purpose barrel machinery, two links should be given enough attention. First of all, it is necessary to prevent the structural rigidity of the device from being weakened due to the setting of the adjustment link. At the same time, the general user's production variety does not necessarily cover all the specifications of 20 to 200 liters; therefore, there is no need to adjust all the flexible links. That is, the general-purpose equipment must be as simple, practical, and convenient as possible while having perfect flexibility. To a certain extent, the above two links will reflect the vitality of the generalization of barrel machinery.
