I. Status Quo of Gravure Printing Industry in China
Over the past 20 years of reform and opening up, with the continuous development of the market economy, especially the rapid development of industries such as food, beverages, cigarettes, medicines, health products, cosmetics, detergents and clothing, the demand for gravure printing products has been increasing. Under the situation of increasingly higher quality requirements, gravure printing in China has grown rapidly from small to large.
According to statistics, China's interior has been from Japan. In Switzerland, Germany, Italy, France, South Korea, Australia and other countries and Taiwan Province of China, more than 420 gravure printing lines have been introduced, and two to three hundred gravure printing machines have been put into use.
Judging from the regional distribution, the gravure printing machine is almost all over the provinces, cities, and autonomous regions of the country. Yunnan, Shanghai, Guangdong, Shandong, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang are places where the gravure printing machines are relatively concentrated. According to the use of the product, the gravure printing machine can be divided into three categories: plastic film gravure printing machine, mainly Japanese machine; paper and plastic gravure printing machine, mainly European machine; paper printing gravure printing machine, sub-machine ( Wide-range 800mm or more), special-purpose machine (narrow width 800mm or less), mainly European machine.
At present, most domestic gravure printing machines are six-color. From 2000 to 2001, some domestic foreign-funded enterprises introduced nearly 10 eight-color to 12-color gravure printing machines from Fuji Machinery of Japan.
At present, gravure printing products mainly have the following types.
1. Paper packaging, such as cigarette cases, wine boxes, wine labels, soap boxes, medicine boxes, health products boxes, etc.
2. Plastic flexible packaging mainly includes the following types:
1) Food packaging, such as instant noodles, milk powder, tea, small foods (leisure food, etc.), beverages, sweets, cooking bags, pickled vegetables and meat products, frozen fish, shrimp, monosodium glutamate, various seasonings, and salt packaging;
2) Packages for cosmetics and detergents, such as shampoos, moisturizers, and laundry detergents;
3) Pharmaceutical packaging, PTP aluminum foil. SP composite film, aluminum foil blister, Chinese medicine tablets, capsules, pills, powder, etc.;
4) Seed packaging, various crop seeds and vegetables, flower seeds, etc.;
5) Industrial product packaging, such as clothing, knitted underwear, women's and children's products packaging and New Year pictures, calendars, posters and so on.
In addition, the banknotes and stamps printed in our country are also completed by engraving gravure. The tipping paper used for cigarette filters and the wood grain paper for Furniture decoration are also printed with a gravure printer.
It is understood that among the enterprises engaged in intaglio printing at present, 70%-80% of enterprises have relatively good returns, but some companies have insufficient production tasks, and a few enterprises are facing production suspension or even bankruptcy.

Dalian Dafu Plastic Packaging Co., Ltd. introduced the six-color gravure printing line of Japan Fuji Machinery in the initial period of reform and opening up. So far it has 10 gravure printing lines.
