We refer to small steel drums as steel drums and industrial steel sheet round cans. After many batches of quality inspections of several barrel factories, we found that many small barrels produced by barrel factories have the following major defects:
The actual geometry of the small steel drum does not match the geometrical dimensions given by the small steel drum product standard; when the suspension test is carried out, the steel drum lifting ring is pulled out from the nose; for the drop test, some steel drums leak.
Now, let me talk about some of the problems in the above small steel drums.
First, about the geometric size
After checking the quality of small steel drums in many enterprises, the company has no product standards. Many enterprises design and manufacture according to the capacity requirements provided by users. Some enterprises manufacture according to the samples provided by users. Buckets made in this way are difficult to match the dimensions required by the technical standards in this product standard. In order to resolve this contradiction, the author suggests that the barrel-making enterprises should try to make barrels according to product standards. If at present, due to the problem of keg mold or process tooling, if the barrel cannot be made according to the product standard at present, the barrel company should not only indicate the volume of the steel drum in the production contract or sales contract, but also indicate the inner diameter and inner diameter of the steel drum. High, outer diameter, and outer height. In this way, the company will reduce many unnecessary troubles when checking the quality of steel drums.
Second, the lifting ring is pulled out from the nose
GB13252091 "Packing container steel bucket" standard stipulates: "Load the load on the barrel body in the vertical downward direction to 590N, keep it for 5 minutes, no lifting of the lifting beam, lifting ring and its connection with the barrel body". The GB/T15170-94 "Packaging Container Industrial Steel Sheet Round Tank" standard stipulates: "The round tank should be able to withstand the test load of three times the capacity water, keep it for 5 minutes, and the lifting beam and lifting ring must not fall off and crack." In this test, steel drums produced by many companies were pulled out of the nose under such load. Observing the scene, the main reasons for the investigation are as follows:
1. The steel wire used for the ring is not enough. Under the specified load, the lifting ring is deformed and pulled out from the nose;
2, the length of the nasal containment ring is not enough, that is, the nose is short and the ring is long, and the ring is easily deformed after being stressed, and is pulled out from the nose;
3. The gap between the nose and the ring is large, and the ring is easily pulled out from the nose after being stressed.
In order to solve this problem, it is recommended to use a steel wire with a good degree of steel (appropriately thickened), appropriately increase the length of the nose and the ring, and reduce the gap between the nose rings.
Third, small steel drum drop test leakage
For the first and second barrels of the three types of barrels and the four types of barrels, the drop test is carried out according to the standard specified load and the specified height. If there is leakage, according to the analysis of the leakage part, the main reasons are as follows: :
1. The quality of the steel plate is poor;
2. No sealing packing is used, or the sealing packing used is not uniform;
3. The pressure on the sealing edge is not enough, the crimping pressure is not tight, and the gap is increased and leaked during the drop test.
Solution: To use good quality steel plate, adjust the pressure and improve the processing technology.
In addition, the inspection can determine the quality of the product, and can provide accurate data and reliable quality information for the quality management department. Therefore, the inspection work can only be strengthened and cannot be weakened.
