Over three decades of unparalleled success in the design world have seen Philippe Starck collaborate on countless hotel and restaurant projects across the globe. His first major hotel project, the Royalton in New York (1988), set the tone for what was to come—a perfect blend of contemporary style and functional innovation. Other notable projects include the Delano in Miami (1995), the Mondrian in Los Angeles, the St Martin’s Lane in London (1999), and the Sanderson Hotel, also in London (2000). Additionally, he spearheaded the renovation of the historic Clift Hotel in San Francisco in 2001, revamping its signature Redwood Room into an art-deco masterpiece.

In South America, Starck brought his unique vision to the Hotel Fasano in Rio de Janeiro in 2007, utilizing materials like wood, glass, and marble to create an inviting yet sophisticated atmosphere. His focus then shifted to luxury hotels, including the Hôtel Meurice and the Royal Monceau in Paris. Meanwhile, his restaurant projects span the globe, with standout examples like Bon (2000), Mori Venice Bar (2006), and Le Paradis du Fruit (2009) in France, as well as the celebrated Katsuya in Los Angeles (2006).
