The perfect combination of blowing and filling technology

At the Drinktec World Beverage and Liquid Food Technology 2005, Sidel introduced its next-generation Combi equipment, which embodies the most advanced blowing and filling technologies. The new generation of Combi equipment is more excellent in the blowing, filling and capping performance of PET bottles.

Sidel, as the inventor of the unique Combi device (the device integrates blow molding, filling and capping), is technologically advanced. The Combi selec 20 FMw 90/15 C model, which will be on display in Munich, is the latest generation of Sidel's Combi equipment, and it integrates the company's cutting-edge developments in blowing and filling technology. The equipment will cut bottled costs by 20% and improve the hygiene of non-inflated water filling.

20% reduction in packaging costs

Sidel's next-generation Combi equipment aims to produce PET bottles at a faster rate and at a lower cost. This goal means that there is a need to increase productivity by 23% while reducing packaging costs.
* For the same model of Combi equipment, the output rate will increase by 13% due to the increase of the single-mode blowing rate to 1800 bottles/hour.

* The new generation of Combi equipment allows users to get more features, and the bottle conversion speed is increased by 20%. At the same time, it also provides programming functions for setting the blowing process and filling volume parameters.
* Optimized maintenance times and automatic cleaning systems also increase the use of Combi equipment.
* Lower energy consumption (15% reduction in power consumption and reduced dead zones in air lines), lower maintenance costs, and lighter bottles produced by Combi equipment, which together contribute to the reduction of packaging production costs, while Does not affect the packaging quality.

Health conditions improved

In addition to the treatment of preforms with sterile air, a tilting filling frame with 100% stainless steel, and a loading space under controlled gas, Sidel bred innovative solutions with its experience in aseptic technology. , thus improving the health of the new Combi device.

* Pressurized filling space is reduced by 80%, thereby reducing the clean area, while also doubling the ventilation rate of the equipment and reducing energy consumption.
* The streamlined design of the FMw (water flow meter) and FMg (gas flow meter) filling valves benefits from Sidel's proven metering technology. Various valves use fewer components for easier cleaning. Also, when filling non-inflatable products, there is no need for any contact between the filling valve and the package itself.

* The built-in automatic CIP (in-line cleaning) system will clean the internal production line, with fully programmable custom settings, and sample bottles are automatically placed and withdrawn. Finally, the COP (External Cleaning) system uses a fully programmable fixed or rotary nozzle to clean the exterior surface of the filling area.

The Combi equipment displayed at the Drinktec Expo will be delivered to Spa Monopole, a Belgian mineral water producer, who also ordered a Combi (FMg) device for soft drinks and lemonade.

With a new generation of Combi equipment, Sidel's installed capacity has increased by 20% in the past year, further consolidating its leading position in this field, and the company's annual growth target has been set at 30%.

Sidel, one of the world leaders in liquid food packaging solutions for plastics, glass and metal packaging, will present to the world many of its technological innovations at Drinktec Expo. In addition to introducing its next-generation Combi equipment to the world, Sidel also exhibited a compact water-packing line with a low production rate, an ActisTM bottle wall coater, and an FMm (milk flow meter) filling machine. , AQ Max stacking tables, shrink packaging machines for small containers, cap feeders and box sorting systems.

Sidel Acquires Simonazzi Successfully Completes

Terta Laval and SIG Group formally announced that they have completed the acquisition of Simonazzi, a subsidiary of SIG by Silexlam. Tetra Laval has officially acquired Simonasci’s ownership and is about to commence the merger of its business with the Sidel Group.

Mr. Larry Pillar, chairman of the company's board of directors, stated that through this acquisition, Sidel will better meet the needs of customers in the beverage industry, especially filling customer needs. With Sidel’s products and Simonazzi’s The combination of Alfa's equipment, we will provide customers with a more complete product portfolio."

Mr. Roberto Schianchi, who is currently the Managing Director of Sidel's Filling and Sterilization Department, was appointed as Executive Director of Simonazzi. Mr. Gérard Stricher, CEO of Sidel, said: “The new company combined Sidel and Simonace will have a unique advantage, and it will become the first choice for the entire line of beverage industry suppliers.”
