US software vendor Adobe launches new version of Acrobat

Adobe Systems, a maker of US software (software), will launch a new version of Acrobat software on Monday. Its President and CEO Bruce Chizen said this will be "the publication of the company's most important product in history." Adobe's latest Acrobat file-sharing products include new, retrofitted and upgraded versions of these products that will be available by the end of the current quarter in May. Acrobat is a key product of Adobe’s fast-growing ePaper division, whose sales account for one-third of the total annual sales of the Silicon Valley publishing software store. Qi has said that the new version of Acrobat products will enable the company's products to be extended to large companies, "significantly" to promote this year's revenue growth. However, he refused to make specific income details. As part of the new product line, Adobe will introduce Acrobat Elements, a reduced version of an existing Acrobat product. Acrobat Elements allows users to easily create secure, sharable Portable Document Format (PDF) documents, and enables Adobe to deliver Acrobat technology to more business users in a lower cost way. Qi Zeng said that Adobe’s previous Acrobat product has been renamed Acrobat Standard, which adds new features and is easier to use. In addition, the new Acrobat Standard features allow users to track and manage documents that circulate within the workgroup, digitally sign documents, and add content such as website content to Adobe PDF documents. The price of Acrobat Standard will be $299, which is $50 more than the previous version of Adobe Acrobat software. High-end Acrobat Professional is priced at $499.
