How to Adjust Your Cabinets and Drawers

All you'll need is a standard Phillips screwdriver (the type with the 'X' head). In this video, our very own Corey Laurysen walks you through the simple steps to make any necessary adjustments: [Embedded Video] ### Adjusting Your Cabinets The clever design of our cabinet hinges and back plates allows for independent adjustments in three dimensions. It’s a good idea to watch the video to visualize how these movements work. 1. **Front Screw**: This controls the side-to-side adjustment. 2. **Back Screw**: This adjusts the depth (in and out). 3. **Center Screw**: This handles the height adjustment. One great thing about these adjustments is that they're forgiving. If an adjustment doesn't work as expected, you can simply reverse it. Just avoid forcing anything to close, and you’ll be fine. ### Adjusting Your Drawers Our drawer boxes offer two-dimensional adjustments: 1. **Height Adjustment**: Loosen screw #2 (the top one) slightly to allow the panel to move. Then, adjust the height using screw #1 (at the bottom) to your desired position. Once everything is aligned, tighten both screws to secure it in place. 2. **Side Adjustment**: Loosen screw #2 slightly, adjust the front of the drawer to the correct position, and then tighten screw #2 again. 3. **Angle Correction**: To adjust the angle, loosen either the top or bottom screw depending on your needs. Both will influence the angle. Alternatively, you can insert an angle correction wedge, tighten screw #2, and trim the excess. This technique is known as "shimming."
