Pesticide packaging design requirements

1 Packaging 1.1 Pesticide packaging should meet the storage, transportation, sales and use requirements.

1.2 Pesticide packaging materials should ensure that the product is not damaged during normal storage and transportation, and meet the requirements of the corresponding standards.

1.3 The packaging material of pesticides should be sturdy and durable to ensure that the internal materials are not damaged. The packaging materials that can be used are: wood, metal, synthetic materials, composite materials, corrugated cardboard with moisture-proof layer, paper-bag paper, hemp fabric, and other packaging materials approved by the transportation department and users.

1.4 The inner packaging materials of pesticides should be sturdy and durable, do not react chemically with pesticides, swell, leak, and do not affect the quality of the products. The inner packaging materials that can be used are: glass, plastics, metals, composite materials, paper bags, etc.

1.5 Pesticides are packaged according to dosage form, use, toxicity and physical and chemical properties. The net weight of liquid pesticide formulations per box shall not exceed 15 kg, and the net weight of solid pesticide formulations per bag shall not exceed 25 kg. The net weight of liquid pesticides should not exceed 250kg, and the net weight of solid pesticides should not exceed 100kg.

1.6 The packaging container for bottled liquid pesticides should have appropriate inner plugs and outer covers. The lids of barrels of liquid pesticides should be covered with gaskets and tightened tightly to prevent leakage.

1.7 Glass bottles and plastic bottles containing liquid pesticides are placed in outer packaging containers and then packed with shockproof materials to avoid damage due to impact.

1.8 When the pesticide is used in small packages, the small package should be packed into an outer packaging container suitable for storage and transportation.

1.9 The pesticide packaging container must have a certificate of conformity and instructions.

2 Signs 2.1 Marking Method

2.1.1 Stick the label on the packaging container.

2.1.2 Marks are directly printed and marked.

2.3 Content of the logo

2.3.1 The surface of the inner packaging container for pesticides should have a label. The contents of the label should include:

a. Name: It should be highlighted in bold characters.

b. Specifications.

c. The corresponding pesticide product standard number.

d. Net weight.

e. The name of the manufacturer.

f. Pesticide registration number.

g. Instructions for use.

h. Note.

i. Production date, lot number.

j. Toxic signs: Marked in accordance with the provisions of GB 190-73 "Dangerous Goods Packaging Markings".

2.3.2 The packaging container for pesticides should indicate:

a. Name: It should be highlighted in bold characters.

b. Category.

c. Specifications.

d. Gross weight and net weight.

e. Production date, lot number.

f. Storage and transportation indicator: According to GB 191-73 "Package, Storage and Transportation Directional Sign" to mark.

g. Toxicity Marking: Marked in accordance with GB 190-73 "Dangerous Goods Packaging Markings".

h. The name of the manufacturer.

2.3.3 Bagged pesticide formulations shall be marked according to the provisions of 2.3.1 and 2.3.2, and the pesticides used for processing shall be marked according to the provisions of 2.3.2.

2.3.4 All kinds of pesticides shall be marked with characteristic color markings that are not faded.

a. Color:

Herbicides - Green;

Insecticides - red;

Fungicides - black;

Rodenticide - Blue;

Plant growth regulators - dark yellow.

b. Position: Place a color bar parallel to the bottom edge below the label and below the outer packaging container.
