I. Overview
1. Chemical properties
Avermectins (AVMs) are a class of broad-spectrum antiparasitic drugs. Its representative drugs are abamectin (ABA) and ivermectin (1VR).
AVMs have high molecular weight and sugar chains, and are basically weak polar materials. They have extremely low water solubility, poor solubility in saturated hydrocarbon solvents, and are easily soluble in most polar solvents. AVMs are white crystalline powder, melting point 155-157 ~ C.
ABA and IVR are quite stable under normal temperature, avoid light, sealed or pH5-9 environment. Strong alkali and acidic conditions should be avoided in the analysis.
2. Pharmacology and Toxicology
IVR and ABA are currently the most widely used anti-parasitic drugs in veterinary medicine, and are mainly used for the treatment or prevention of parasitic nematodes and arthropod infections.
There is no significant difference in the metabolism of various AVMs in animals. No matter oral, subcutaneous injection or intramuscular injection can be quickly absorbed, widely distributed in the body, mainly excreted in the original form with feces, a small amount is excreted by the kidneys, but also excreted with milk. The liver tissue has the highest concentration and the slowest elimination, followed by fat, and the brain tissue has the lowest. IVR is excreted slowly in the body, the duration of the conventional injection type is more than 14 days, and the duration of the sustained-release preparation can reach several months.
The toxicity to AVMs needs further study.
Second, the measurement method
AVMs have large molecular weight and lack significant analysis groups. The residual analysis process is more complicated. Solid phase extraction is increasingly used in sample processing. The main measurement method is HPLC method based on fluorescence derivatization. Immunoassay and HPLC / MS confirmation technologies have also made great progress.
