Expression of IL-17 and IFN-γ in ulcerative colitis
To detect the expression of Th17 cytokines IL-17 and Th1 cytokines IFN-γ in patients with ulcerative colitis (UC) to explore the pathogenesis of ulcerative colitis. Methods: The expressions of IL-17 and IFN-γ in colon tissue and blood mononuclear cells of patients with ulcerative colitis and normal control group were detected by ELISA. Results: The expression of IL-17 in colon tissue of UC group was significantly higher than that of normal control group (P <0.05); while the expression of IFN-γ in colon tissue of UC group was not significantly higher than that of normal control group (P> 0.05); blood mononuclear in UC group The expression of IL-17 and IFN-γ in cells was not significantly different from that in normal control group (P> 0.05). Conclusion: Local IL-17 elevation may play an important role in the pathogenesis of UC.
