Fushun Petrochemical PP blown film special material industrialization

Fushun Petrochemical Company successfully produced special material for polypropylene blown film RF075. Accumulated production reached 1700 tons from January to April of this year, and the industrialized production of this special material was realized.

Polypropylene film according to the processing process is divided into three types: oriented film (BOPP), cast film (CPP) and blown film (IPP). Polypropylene blown film has excellent surface finish, transparency and heat sealability, can be used in food packaging and high-end clothing packaging and other fields, its processing technology has advantages of less investment, simple equipment, short process flow. Blown film has become another new direction of development for polypropylene film, and the domestic market is growing at a relatively rapid rate.

Fushun Petrochemical's polypropylene plant has an annual production capacity of 90,000 tons. No previous blown film number was used. In 2005, in response to market demand, the company began to develop RF075. By adjusting the amount of hydrogen added to the loop reactor, the melt index was controlled in a suitable range, and the second comonomer, propylene, was added during polymerization to change its molecular structure. For random copolymerization, this fundamentally improves the transparency of the product, adding high-grade opening agent, smoothing agent and other additives when granulating, and improving the processing performance of special materials. Product analysis showed that RF075 is of stable quality, performance meets the requirements of indicators, non-toxic and tasteless, and has high added value, especially its unique random copolymer structure, which makes its physical and chemical properties more excellent.

At present, the special material has been successfully put on the market. Users report that the blown film produced by RF075 has good transparency and heat sealability.
