U.S. uses modified atmosphere packaging to extend the shelf life of mangoes

According to tests by American scientists, the use of modified atmosphere packaging for mangoes can extend their shelf life.

In this test, the mangoes were peeled and diced. The samples were individually packed with oxygen, mixed gas (nitrogen 86%, carbon dioxide gas 10%, oxygen 4%) and vacuum-packed. The results showed that the shelf life of mangoes packed in mixed gas was the longest. During storage, the appearance, color, structure, etc. of mangoes works well, and the damage caused by microorganisms is minimal.
